You know what really grinds my gears? People charging so much for a product that has no right being that expensive. I touched on this yesterday with Revels, but the more advertisements I see the more I think, “wow people are scumbags.”
For example, I bought a new laptop a while ago, the Thinkpad P14s Gen 2. If you know anything about Thinkpads you know that they’ve built a reputation on the internet for being great laptops durability wise, performance wise, and being modular (well some of them anyway). Anyways to get to the point, I spent around €400 for this laptop which I believe is fair (although who knows maybe I scammed myself). It came with an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U, 20GB of ram and 512GB Nvme. I think I got a bargain, but when I was looking to buy this laptop specifically I saw one going for €750 which had less ram, storage, and the weaker Ryzen 5 CPU. Total for a laptop without a dedicated graphics card.
All in all I hope that people looking to get a new computer, or just any product in general, do their research and compare options before making their purchase. I’ve been thinking of setting up a website for this reason, maybe sometime down the line.
